Formula Middleman

One organization is charged with handling the growing collection of formula files, one for each transmission of a message and/or batch of files. This organization must be non-governmental and totally independent of the shred hosts. Its perceived integrity, likewise, is critically important to the public acceptance of the system. It is expected to act as a "trusted third party" to communications.

The formula middleman is the key intermediary for every transmission using the Pryvit system. The responsibilities and roles are laid out in the protocol.
