August 9 , 2004: Downloads are now available. The manual is complete on line. Only the payment
system remains outstanding.
The next step in the plan had been to transfer attention to
our (patent pending) Proximity Search method. The
2003 version is currently available for testing at ProximitySearch.com and
CatholicFind.com. At this point expect a four month delay;
I expect to be teaching full time for the Fall 2004 Semester at Franciscan University of Steubenville.
In December activity will pick up again. The interface for the search will
undergo extensive change and probably show up online early in 2005. The new version shows ten short excerpts at
a time. The link associated with an excerpt takes the
user directly to a copy of the real page with the selected search terms highlighted. Watch for
three products to be released, each with full proximity search and relevance ranked according
to closeness of fit (how close together are the words that the user specifies -- a good way of getting
at intended meaning):
Web site search -- Expected to handle any individual web site
with pages totaling up to 100 megabytes.
EBook Viewer (client and Internet based) -- Intended for any
published works or material that is to be distributed. Examples in the 2003 version are available at
the sites named above.
Hard disk organizer -- Find anything INSTANTLY in ANY of
your data files anywhere on your computer hard disk.
