Pryvit Personal is designed for computer users who wish protection for files, but feel no need to distribute to other persons over the Internet. Processing with Pryvit Personal has the same privacy, reliability, simplicity of use, and efficiency of the other Pryvit products. For example, it retains cascading fragmentation for extra privacy.

In Pryvit Personal, the storage is on the computer's hard disk, and optionally on backup media. It is Pryvit Professional minus the Internet stuff. If you want to store privacy protected archives on the Internet, you can still do that, but sending to the Internet is not automatic as in higher levels of Pryvit. Files in privacy protected archives can only be retrieved by your computer, and by no other.

Privatize files = put vulnerable data files into a safe format
Validate an archive = make sure nothing is missing
Reconstitute files = retrieve data files in original form
Delete an archive = remove the privacy protected version
